I have had Angus since he was a baby and he is about 13 now. He talks up a storm. I had developed some severe medical issues and one night was lying on the sofa and his cage was open. I really thought I might be dying, but eventually fell asleep. I was awakend with Angus laying on my chest. Since they say a bird is sick himself when they lay down I became concerned. I started poking at him to try to make him stand and he would not budge. You could literally turn him over without him moving but he was looking directly at me and then he came out with I LOVE YOU. I cried. He had never said this before and I realized he had come to me because he knew I was so sick. He was not sick at all. WHen I owned my own business I frequently was working late into the night and often called for home delivery. Sometimes I would bring home shrimp. One night I picked up the phone and Angus said "I would like to place an order and Angus wants shrimp". He put those words together himself showing great intelligence. I could go on and on.
